2. Accessing our website

When you access our website, technical data required to deliver the website and maintain its security and stability is processed. This may include:

  • the IP address of the requesting device;
  • the date and time of access;
  • the requested page or file;
  • the referring page, where transmitted;
  • browser and operating-system information; and

This processing is necessary to provide the website, prevent misuse, diagnose technical problems and protect our systems. It is based on our legitimate interests in operating a secure and reliable website pursuant to Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Technical log data is retained only for as long as it is required for these purposes or to comply with applicable legal obligations. It is then deleted or anonymised.

3. Website development and maintenance by Roakon

We use Roakon d.o.o. to develop and maintain this website. Where necessary to provide maintenance, technical support or security services, Roakon may have access to technical information or personal data processed through the website. Roakon processes such data on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions.

Further information about Roakon is available at roakon.eu.

4. Website infrastructure and services provided by Cloudflare

Our website uses services provided by Cloudflare, Inc., USA, to support the technical operation, security, performance, and availability of the website.

In connection with these services, Cloudflare may process technical information, including IP addresses, connection data, and security-related information. Where such processing is necessary for the secure and reliable operation of our website, it is based on our legitimate interests pursuant to Article 6 (1) (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Depending on the services used, personal data may be transferred to or processed in the United States. Where applicable, such transfers are subject to the safeguards required under Chapter V of the GDPR.

Further information about Cloudflare’s data processing practices is available in its Privacy Policy.

5. Contact enquiries

If you contact us by e-mail, telephone or a contact form, we process the information you provide. This may include your name, contact details, organisation, the content of your enquiry and related correspondence.

We use this information to handle and respond to your enquiry. Where your enquiry concerns a contract or steps before entering into a contract, processing is based on Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR. In other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in responding to business and general enquiries under Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Where processing is required by law, Article 6 (1) (c) GDPR applies.

We retain correspondence only for as long as necessary to handle the enquiry and meet applicable legal retention or documentation requirements.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and uses no tracking, advertising or social-media plug-ins. Fonts are served from our own server, so no request is made to a third-party font service.

Where cookies or similar technologies are necessary for the operation, security and requested functions of the website, they are used on the basis of our legitimate interests in providing a functional and secure website under Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR and, where applicable, the relevant provisions of German telecommunications and digital-services law.

Optional technologies, including analytics or marketing technologies, are used only where you have given the required consent. Where a consent-management tool is provided, you can use it to make or change your choices at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.

You can also configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Blocking technically necessary cookies may affect the operation of the website.

7. External links

Our website may contain links to third-party services, including LinkedIn and GitHub. If you follow an external link, the relevant third party is responsible for the processing of personal data on its website. Please review the third party’s privacy information before using its service.

An ordinary external link does not transfer information to the linked service until you activate the link. Where third-party content is embedded directly into our website, any associated processing will be described separately and, where required, activated only after consent.

8. Service providers and recipients

We may use carefully selected service providers for website operation, maintenance, domain management, communications and related technical services. These providers receive personal data only where this is necessary to provide the relevant service. Where a provider acts as a processor, it processes personal data under our instructions and is subject to appropriate contractual obligations.

We may also disclose personal data where required by law, to protect legal rights or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

9. International data transfers

If a service provider processes personal data outside the European Economic Area in a country without an adequacy decision, we use an appropriate safeguard as required by Chapter V GDPR, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, together with supplementary measures where necessary. Information about the applicable safeguard may be requested using the contact details in section 1.

10. Storage and deletion

We follow the principles of data minimisation and storage limitation. We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose or for the period required by applicable law. When the purpose no longer applies and no legal retention obligation remains, the data is deleted or, where immediate deletion is not possible, access is restricted.

11. Your rights

Subject to the requirements and limitations of applicable law, you have the right to:

  • obtain information about and access to your personal data under Article 15 GDPR;
  • have inaccurate data corrected and incomplete data completed under Article 16 GDPR;
  • request erasure under Article 17 GDPR;
  • request restriction of processing under Article 18 GDPR;
  • receive data in a portable format where Article 20 GDPR applies;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests under Article 21 GDPR; and
  • withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.

You may exercise these rights by contacting us using the details in section 1. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The supervisory authority responsible for private-sector organisations established in Bavaria is:
